Dr. Ahn majored in Human Biology at La Sierra/Loma Linda University with the intention of becoming a dentist where her artistic talents can be applied to her love of science and desire to help people. In 1989, after completing 3 years of undergraduate education, she began her dental studies at UCLA School of Dentistry. During the first week of dental school, she received a perfect score on her first tooth carving exam, surprising her classmates and instructors.
Throughout dental school she received many EPRs (exceptional performance reports given to students that perform in the top 5~10% of the class) on her clinical exams. After graduating from UCLA Dental School in 1993, she chose to complete an elective 2-year Pediatric Dental Residency at UCLA. She believed that this would allow her to provide optimal dental care to her young patients while helping her acquire a deeper understanding of the growth and development of the face.
In 2003, Dr. Ahn opened her own private dental practice Impression Dental Care at The Image Center. Today Impression Dental Care continues to stay at the forefront of technology and offers the latest advancements in general, cosmetic, & biocompatible dentistry and orthodontic, implant, TMJ, and Dental Sleep Apnea Therapies. Dr. Ahn stays committed to providing the best care for her patients by attending the nation’s top training programs to advance her knowledge and skills in becoming the best dentist possible.
In addition to providing her patients with state of the art dental care, Dr. Ahn also has a special interest in helping her patients improve their lifestyle through nutritional coaching and other wellness services. Having been raised a vegetarian from birth and having experienced first hand the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle, Dr. Ahn is passionate about helping her patients experience the same.
When Dr. Ahn is not seeing patients or managing her business, you will find her taking care of her talented and busy daughter Elise, volunteering her time at church, serving as a Commissioner of Children and Families Commission of OC and bringing awareness to local and international causes and charities through OCCares, the non-profit organization she founded in 2013.
